Aqfer Data Lake, Tag Manager environments support GDPR compliance

PALO ALTO, CA/NEW YORK, NY, July 19, 2018 – aqfer, the toolset and environment for 1st party data lakes today announced General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) support for their aTM (aqfer Tag Manager) and aDL (aqfer DataLake) products as well as implementation of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) EU Transparency & Consent Framework and IAB EU Global Vendor List.

The IAB EU Framework enables ‘signaling’ of user choice across the advertising supply chain and provides a common language for both publishers and advertisers to communicate consumer consent for the delivery of relevant online advertising and content. The vendor list provides a central and standardised repository for publishers to communicate as to which vendors can access individual consumer data records.

The company also appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsible for monitoring GDPR compliance and the policies of the controller/processor in relation to the protection of personal data.

Marc Sabatini, Aqfer CEO, stated “Data Privacy and the protection of our clients’ and partners’ data is the highest priority at Aqfer. While we currently adhere to strict data protection principles, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guidelines provide an additional level of security for our clients. We continue to monitor privacy related policies and procedures, as well as those defined by privacy related regulatory bodies and will take all necessary steps to ensure the safety and privacy of our partners data”.

About Aqfer:

Founded in March 2018, aqfer is an enterprise marketing data cloud environment that sits on top of big data architectures (such as AWS) and enables data centric marketing clients to build state of the art applications at a fraction of the cost (and time) as compared to 3rd party CDP’s, DMP’s or building in house. Much like an aquifer, the aqfer solution functions as a semi-permeable container which allows for marketing data to be collected from all existing systems, refined and then distributed to the various marketing and advertising platforms to bring personalized, relevant messages to customers. The aqfer solution allows the CMO and CTO to have certainty about their data. The company’s solutions today are successfully implemented with a variety of Ad-tech, Mar-tech, and digital agencies.
