Leadership Team

Daniel Jaye, Founder, CEO

Dan has provided strategic, tactical and technology advisory services to a wide range of marketing technology and big data companies.  Clients have included Altiscale, ShareThis, Ghostery, OwnerIQ, Netezza, Akamai, and Tremor Media. Dan was the founder and CEO of Korrelate, a leading automotive marketing attribution company, purchased by J.D. Power in 2014.  Dan is the former president of TACODA, bought by AOL in 2007, and was the founder and CTO of Permissus, an enterprise privacy compliance technology provider.  He was the Founder and CTO of Engage and served as the acting CTO of CMGI. Prior to Engage, he was the director of High Performance Computing at Fidelity Investments and worked at Epsilon and Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting).  

Dan graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Astronomy and Astrophysics and Physics from Harvard University.


Marc Sabatini, CRO

A relationship builder, Marc has over 20 years of experience consulting on technology and data solutions in direct marketing, CRM, and omnichannel digital marketing. Marc has extensive enterprise expertise and has worked with solution providers like Epsilon, Donnelly Marketing, and InfoUSA, as well as founding a successful start-up consultancy, Advantage Insight, which was acquired by Redi-Data. His leadership, vision and consistent track record of problem solving and connecting people, along with a consultative approach supported by his innovative thought leadership, ensure that Marc brings the right solution to clients to positively impact their business. 

Marc holds a B.A from John Jay College, CUNY.

Pat McNair, CFO

Pat has provided financial support to venture capital (VC) funded technology startups for over 20 years, including offering support for fundraising, financial modeling, tax strategies, M&A support, and more. He has also served as CFO for Pentaho Corporation, a VC-backed Orlando startup widely recognized as the open source business intelligence leader, that was acquired by Hitachi Vantara. Previously, Pat was the CFO for MeshNetworks from seed funding through their acquisition by Motorola.

Pat received his BBA and MBA from the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business and also is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).


Narayanakumar R, VP Engineering

Narayanakumar has more than 30 years of experience in leading global engineering teams and developing software products for various domains including Marketing Data platform, Data Communications and Process instrumentation. Previous to aqfer have headed Engineering and Product teams at a couple of startups in Banking self service and Datacom software.

Narayanakumar received his B.E. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Madras University, Chennai, India.

Thiruvalluvan M G, Chief Architect

Thiru was previously a Distinguished Architect at Yahoo! and held the title of “Principal Hacker” at Altiscale.  He was the Architect at Stata Labs where he collaborated with Raymie on projects like Bloomba.  He is a committer and PMC Member of the Apache Avro Project.   He has held a number of technical and managerial engineering roles at Accel Limited and Hewlett Packard.  

Thiru holds a B.E. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Anna University.


Jeff Storan, VP, Product & Services

A marketing veteran and product strategist with more than twenty years’ experience spanning television, digital advertising, and web analytics, Jeff is Aqfer’s new VP of Product & Services. Previously, Jeff introduced an online sales channel for local business SaaS provider Signpost. He was part of the founding team at Simulmedia and launched their first data-powered TV advertising products. Prior to Simulmedia, Jeff had roles at AOL (via acquisition of TACODA) and Acquire Systems.

Jeff has a BA in Economics from Oberlin College and lives in Brooklyn with his wife and twin sons.


Raymie Stata, Non-Executive Chairman

Aqfer is the realization of Raymie’s vision for a marketing data lake environment that would empower enterprises to realize the full value of their data. Raymie was the founder and CEO of Altiscale, sold to SAP in 2016. Previously he was Chief Technical Officer at Yahoo!, where he played an instrumental role in algorithmic search, display advertising, and cloud computing. He also helped set Yahoo!’s open-source strategy and initiated its participation in the Apache Hadoop project. Prior to joining Yahoo! Raymie founded Stata Laboratories, maker of the Bloomba search-based e-mail client, which Yahoo! acquired in 2004. He has also worked for Digital Equipment’s Systems Research Center, where he contributed to the AltaVista search engine.

Raymie received his PhD in computer science from MIT in 1996.
